Amethyst Zari Anarkali — Gota-Patti Embroidered 3-Piece Suit
Deep royal purple takes center stage in this classic three-piece suit, finished with gota-patti — a centuries-old metallic ribbon appliqué technique born in the royal courts of Rajasthan, where flattened gold and silver wire (zari) was folded and stitched onto fabric to mimic the opulence of real gold embroidery at a fraction of the weight. The technique became a staple of Mughal-era courtly dress and remains synonymous with festive Indian wear today. Here, dense gota-patti panels trace the neckline in a jaali (lattice) motif, while the same striped gold border runs the length of the matching organza dupatta and finishes the hem and cuffs. A hint of red piping peeks from the sleeve lining for contrast, and straight-cut trousers with a coordinating gold hem complete the look.
